Yamaha APX500 6-string acoustic-Electric Guitar at a Glance:
A stylish, thin body so it fits right up close to your body
The Yamaha APX500 is considered a "thinline" acoustic-electric guitar. The thinline descriptions means the APX500's body has a thinner profile that fits up close to your body, so it's easy and comfortable to play. A thinner body, though, doesn't mean the APX500 isn't thick on great sound. It features a spruce top, a nato body and neck, and a rosewood fingerboard and bridge — this one sounds great unplugged.
The piezo pickup system means you can plug in and record or play onstage
Of course, when you do want to plug in your Yamaha APX500, you'll be ready. It has a piezo pickup system, which helps to give it a truly realistic, natural acoustic voice when it's pumping through a PA system. Another cool touch: you've got an onboard tuner, so you can always get your APX500 right in tune.
